HWPD turns approved part designs into production-ready injection molds through controlled toolmaking, machining, inspection, and mold-trial processes. Our tooling team combines CNC machining, EDM, CMM inspection, mold assembly, and T1 sample evaluation to identify risks before final mold release and production.
Our mold manufacturing services are supported by advanced CNC machining centers, EDM machines, precision polishing equipment, and CMM measurement systems. Experienced toolmakers control every stage of injection mold manufacturing, from steel machining to mold assembly and T1 sample validation.
High-speed 5-axis CNC machining centers for complex mold cores, cavities, and electrode manufacturing with superior surface finish.
Electrical discharge machining for complex geometries, deep ribs, and sharp corners that CNC tooling cannot reach.
High-speed machining centers for graphite electrode manufacturing and fine detail mold polishing preparation.
Coordinate Measuring Machine inspection of all critical mold dimensions against 3D model and 2D drawing tolerances.
Manual and automated polishing to achieve mirror-finish (SPI A1) through textured (SPI D3) surface specifications.
Complete mold assembly, mold trial on our in-house injection molding machines, and T1 sample evaluation before delivery.
Our mold manufacturing services cover prototype molds, production molds, hardened tools, stainless steel molds, family molds, and multi-cavity injection molds. Each tooling plan is matched to production volume, resin, surface finish, shot life, and dimensional requirements.

Every mold manufacturing services project follows a disciplined production process — from raw steel procurement and CNC machining through EDM, polishing, mold assembly, mold trial, and T1 sample approval. No shortcuts, no surprises.
Every mold we ship has been trialed, inspected, and approved to rigorous quality standards. Our mold manufacturing services include material certification, CMM inspection, T1 sample reporting, hardness testing, and surface finish verification. We also reference ISO manufacturing quality standards when preparing documentation and inspection controls.
DFM check, steel selection, mold manufacturing services scope, and lead time confirmed. PO and deposit received.
Certified tool steel ordered and incoming inspection completed for the approved mold manufacturing services plan.
Multi-stage precision machining of all mold components.
Mold assembled, trialed on injection machine, T1 samples produced.
Final samples and inspection documentation are reviewed, required tool adjustments are completed, and the mold is released for production or shipment after approval.
For customer-funded tooling, mold ownership is defined in the quotation and tooling agreement. Once the agreed payment terms are completed, customer-owned molds are identified and managed according to the project agreement. Mold drawings, inspection reports, and other tooling documentation are provided according to the agreed project scope.
Yes. Mold trials and T1 sample evaluation can be included in the tooling scope. The mold is trialed on an appropriate injection molding machine, and T1 samples are measured and inspected for customer review. If adjustments are required, the tooling is modified and additional trials such as T2 or T3 can be carried out before final mold acceptance or production release.
Warranty terms are defined in the tooling agreement based on the mold specification, steel grade, target tool life, molding resin, operating conditions, and maintenance requirements. If a tooling issue covered by the agreed warranty occurs, our engineering team will review the cause and determine the appropriate repair or corrective action.
Yes. We can manufacture molds from customer-supplied 3D mold designs and 2D tooling drawings. Before steel cutting begins, our tooling team reviews the design for machining feasibility, tolerances, steel selection, cooling, ejection, runner and gate design, component availability, and assembly requirements. Any potential issues are discussed with the customer before manufacturing starts.
Yes. For molds used in ongoing production with HWPD, mold storage and preventive maintenance can be arranged according to the production program. Maintenance may include cleaning, lubrication, inspection of wear components, cooling-channel checks, and required repairs. Maintenance records can also be maintained according to project requirements.
